Chloe is finally going back to work after the birth of her first child, but the excitement she feels for that quickly turns to dread. Salus is hidden from humans by powerful wards gifted by the gods. Those wards are supposed to keep humans from ever stepping foot on the island without a supernatural to guide them there. 

Except one of the local witches reports a human on her beach.

It’s a problem, but the bigger problem isn’t what he might see, but how he got past the wards. If one human managed it, then others might as well, and their biggest law is to never reveal themselves to humanity. Which means Chloe and Wesley have to figure it out and stop it from happening again, before the Mystiks and gods decide to take care of the problem themselves.
