When Chloe Chadwick decided to move to her birthplace, the magically hidden island of Salus, she thought her life would calm down. She was wrong.

First, she’s attacked by someone wanting an inheritance she knows nothing about. Then, after returning from Boston, she realizes disaster has struck the island while she was gone. Everyone on the island has fallen victim to powerful magic which has locked them all into a deep, unnatural sleep.
