Survival is not for the timid.

Her only hope is to partner with the man she saved, even though he doesn’t trust her. Worse, he piles more truth onto what she’s already learned, making her realize that the world is bigger—and more magical—than she ever expected.

She only ever wanted to be a normal scientist, but if she wants to survive her good deed, then she’ll need to evade the military, fight supernatural enemies, and learn to deal with her attraction to the man who is very much not what he seems.
